Advanced muscle reconditioning is a hands-on, movement-based approach built for lasting relief — not just temporary comfort. Here's what it is, how it can help, and what to expect when you begin.

What Is Advanced Muscle Reconditioning?

Advanced muscle reconditioning combines manual therapy with neuromuscular re-education to address the underlying cause of chronic pain and restricted movement — not just the area where it hurts. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, it looks at how muscles, fascia, and the nervous system have adapted around an old injury, repetitive strain, or years of compensating movement, then works to retrain those patterns for good.

Because it works with the nervous system as well as the tissue itself, reconditioning tends to produce change that holds. Clients often find that mobility and relief continue to improve between sessions, not just during them.

Who This Can Help

  • Chronic or recurring muscle pain
  • Old injuries that never fully resolved
  • Restricted mobility or persistent stiffness
  • Repetitive strain from work, sport, or posture
  • Tension that hasn't responded to stretching, massage, or rest alone

What to Expect

During Your Session

Sessions typically run 60 minutes, with Andrea focusing on hands-on work like myofascial release and targeted pressure. Most clients feel noticeably looser and more mobile by the end of a session, though a course of visits — rather than a single appointment — tends to bring the most lasting relief.

For some clients, this kind of consistent, hands-on care has played a meaningful role in supporting recovery from long-standing injuries.

After Your Session

It's common to experience some bruising and mild discomfort in the treated area for a few days afterward — a normal response to deeper tissue work, not a sign of injury.

You'll leave with a short set of movement cues or stretches designed to reinforce the change between visits — the bridge between what happens in the room and how your body moves the rest of the week. Staying hydrated, moving gently, and skipping a hard workout the same day all support faster recovery.

Most clients notice a cumulative shift after three to five sessions, with the plan adjusted as your body responds. Ongoing maintenance sessions help keep things balanced once your initial goals are met.
